Welcome to curlyexplorers.com, a website dedicated to all things travel related. We’re a family of four from the UK travelling the world and looking for adventure.

Covering over 40 countries, with a variety of travel styles, we’ve developed this knowledge base for travel, adventure and exploration that we want to share with fellow and aspiring travellers. Providing tips and tricks along the way from our own travel experiences.

We believe nothing compares to the highs and lows of travelling. The phrase ‘learning from your mistakes’ is never more true than when it comes to travel. We’ve made many on our journey and still make them on a regular basis. It’s all been, and still is, a huge curly learning curve.

Which brings us to a very important point, we are not travel experts. We’ve simply got some experience under our belt, but our style and methods are not necessarily the right way, this is just our way. But it’s not for everyone and we’re not here to tell you how to travel.

We set up this website mainly to keep a record of our amazing adventures, but we do also like to offer advice and recommendations so if our readers gain some inspiration and suggestions along the way then that is also a bonus!

We switch between writers for the posts occasionally so you’ll be able to see different view points, which should illustrate how travel is so different for each individual.

You’ll also see ‘Kids Quotes’ knocking around our posts, these are quotes from our kids on the subject we’re writing about. They’re sometimes said before, during or after the event, but they are completely unedited. We literally type what come out of our kids mouths, so they give you a real feel for how kids perceive travelling and they’re likes and dislikes and are usually more interesting than our adult opinion! So keep a look out for these in our posts.

Kids Quote: “I like travelling, but I prefer when we go to the nature parts instead of the cities, I wish we did that a bit more.”
